Ape Club: A Brand New Gastro Brewery Set to Open in Uluwatu


Bali, June 2023 – Ape Club, the latest addition to Bali's vibrant food and beverage scene, set to open their doors in June in the heart of Uluwatu. With a sprawling 3,000m2 space, Ape Club offers a unique experience for locals and tourists alike, with exceptional food, drinks, and entertainment in a community-oriented atmosphere.

Ape Club is the first and only brewery in Uluwatu, a renowned destination for its surfing spots, chilled-out vibes, and large surfing and expatriate communities. Operating from 11 AM to 12 PM, seven days a week, the space features a seating area for over 250 persons and a standing room for up to 1,000 guests. Ape Club’s original beers include Nusa Blonde, Bored Hazy, ULU IPA, and Sunset Ale, with 4 more set to be released before the end of 2023. All beers are produced in Ape Club's brewery in Mengwi, Bali, alongside funky cocktails, imported wines, and surprising Ape signature drinks.

Headed by Mexican National Chef Mauricio Barreto, Ape Club's kitchen will offer a wide range of dishes from South American-inspired meals to international classics. Chef Mauricio, with his extensive experience as an executive chef at renowned establishments such as Boy’N’Cow Group, Monty’s Steak House in L.A., U.S.A., and Hotel Azulik in Tulum, Mexico, brings a unique culinary perspective to Ape Club. His expertise in sourcing high-quality ingredients and his dedication to innovative flavors will ensure that guests have an elevated comfort food experience like no other.

Aside from its exceptional food and drink offerings, Ape Club also offers an exciting entertainment program that includes local and international DJs, live bands, and a variety of workshops, such as mixology and cooking classes. The gastro brewery aims to create an Ape Club community by integrating local talents into their team and incorporating local associations' products and activities.
