London, 14th May 2024 – Embark on a culinary adventure across Asia at the newly opened Bugis Kitchen located within Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington. Named after an iconic area in Singapore filled with bustling streets and diverse culinary offerings, Bugis Kitchen promises to transport its guests on a gastronomic journey through the vibrant streets of Singapore and beyond.

Drawing inspiration from the vibrant flavours of Pan Asian cuisine, the restaurant reinvents and celebrates Singaporean heritage dishes and transforms them into modern Singapore cuisine known as “mod-Sin.” With a commitment to using only the finest authentic and locally sourced ingredients, Bugis Kitchen's culinary pan-Asian menu will offer traditional Singaporean dishes such as laksa, Hainanese chicken rice, and fried wontons, but with a contemporary twist that tantalizes the taste buds.

Bugis Kitchen also draws inspiration from the vibrant hawker centres in Singapore where locals have been enjoying traditional food in open-air complexes for decades. While there may be a roof overhead for diners of the Bugis Kitchen, restaurant goers can experience food from the bustling streets of Singapore where a melting pot of Malay, China, and Thai cuisine awaits. Located in the heart of The Copthorne Tara Hotel Kensington, families, friends, and guests of the hotel can enjoy the informal, friendly, and relaxed setting of Bugis Kitchen.

The specially curated menu draws influence from all over Asia to elevate traditional dishes and flavours with a modern twist, while focussing on authenticity, freshness, and high-quality ingredients. Highlights of Bugis Kitchen's menu include the fried pork and prawn wontons submerged in a spicy curry sauce, offering a delightful explosion of flavour. To balance the spice, go for the salt and pepper squid for a crunchy bite, and satay chicken in a sticky peanut sauce. No visit is complete without indulging in the Singapore Laksa, a homemade spiced coconut broth featuring an array of seafood delights, including fresh shrimps, tempura tiger prawns and squid fish balls.

Philip Bell, General Manager, The Copthorne Tara Hotel says: “The team here at The Copthorne Tara are pleased to launch the Bugis Kitchen where we celebrate the fusion of tradition and innovation, offering a menu curated with care and passion by our talented culinary team. From tantalizing street food classics to contemporary interpretations of Singaporean favourites, each dish is crafted with the freshest ingredients and infused with the bold and aromatic flavours that define Singaporean cuisine.”

To celebrate the launch, diners can enjoy 20% off food and drinks from Friday, 26th April 2024 to Friday, 31st May 2024. Pre-booking is required for dine-in only.
