Now through September 30, the elaborate dinner buffet at Harbourside Restaurant at InterContinental Hong Kong is showcasing specialty dishes made with premium seasonal products from Kagoshima, Japan.
At our carving station, indulge in Grilled Kuroushi Wagyu Beef from cattle raised amongst the beautiful nature of southern Kyushu. This special Wagyu is acclaimed for it finely marbled meat and melt-in-your-mouth tender taste.
The buffet also features Kurobuta “black hog” Pork, from the Black Berkshire pig, known as the highest quality pork in the world. Due to its rich marbling, tenderness, and flavour, it's often called the “Kobe beef of pork.” Unlike traditional pork which has a white colour, Kurobuta has a darker reddish colour, with lots of marbling, which makes it uniquely tender and juicy.
Other specialty items include premium Satsuma Jidori Chicken with Teriyaki Sauce, Pan-fried Kagoshima Pork Belly and a Tempura Station with Kagoshima Pork and Japanese seasonal vegetables.
Enjoy a rotating selection of dishes, including Japanese Crab & Corn Salad, Spicy Kagoshima Beef Tataki, Japanese Grilled Eggplant, Spinach Salad and Sea Grapes & Fruit with Tofu. On the elaborate dessert buffet, you'll find Kagoshima specialties such as Pie Karaimo, Imagawayaki, Matcha Crème Caramel and Japanese Cheese Pudding.
The Lunch and Dinner Buffets includes a Welcome Drink with a choice of a Plum Blossom Cocktail (Plum Wine & Soda Water) or a Yuzu Fizz Mocktail (Yuzu Puree, Lemon Juice & 7-Up), plus tea and coffee.
